Find All About SEAC, Our History
1916:
At the start SEAC was originally incorporated as H&S Pochin Limited in 1916. In effect as part of the Standard Engineering Company, manufacturing fasteners and ancillary products.
1981:
Most importantly SEAC patented their polymer headed fasteners. Firstly we registered the POLYTOPS® trademark. Secondly we made our POLYTOPS® pins, nails, screws & rivets in Zinc Plated Steel. As a result this opened up new markets for us, like internal caravan use.
1984:
By and large we saw a demand for application outdoors. In essence PVC fascia, soffit and cladding. As a response we added A2 Stainless Steel option to our POLYTOPS® range for corrosion resistance.
1991:
After receiving feedback about A2 Stainless Steel nail corrosion we straightaway reviewed it. In light of this we ran a series of corrosion test. To summarise we found that A4 Stainless Steel nails which passed all corrosion tests. In conclusion we upgraded our POLYTOPS® from A2 to A4 Stainless Steel nails. Most importantly since this switch SEAC have had no corrosion complaints with our A4 fixings.
2015:
Significantly SEAC attained CE Mark EN14592 for our POLYTOPS® pins (25, 30, 40mm) and nails (40, 50, 65mm).
Our Products
POLYTOPS® polymer headed fasteners:
was innovated by SEAC more than 30 years ago. Without a doubt they remain the best fastening solution for installing UPVC fascias, soffits and cladding in the building and construction industry. Additionally the POLYTOPS® range include fixings for vehicle number plates, sign boards, furniture and portable building manufactures.
CON-SERT:
In addition to our POLYTOPS® range, SEAC also have our CONSERT range of screws. In essence this includes; Deck Screws, Baypole Screws, Multi Purpose Screws and Concrete Screws
WRAPTOR Roofing Membrane:
Our product range has expanded to include the WRAPTOR breathable roofing membrane. Natural move due to already supplying many roofing merchants and traders with fixing. Given that, we have now gone on to supplying breathable roofing membrane as well. For the most part WRAPTOR breathable membrane can be found at many of our stockists. In brief it is available in 3 thickness 100gsm, 120gsm and 140gsm and 2 different roll lengths, 1m and 1.5m. The WRAPTOR breathable membrane range is BBA approved.
