Why I should use a CON-SERT™ concrete screw?
Concrete screws have gained in popularity over the past few years due to their ease of use, time-saving and cost-reducing capabilities. They are extremely versatile which is why they have become the first choice fastener for installations on concrete and other similar materials.
-
Simple Installation: They have a quick and easy method of installation, as they are directly screwed into the concrete. Pre-drill and blow out the hole using a 6 or 6.5mm drill bit, then insert the screw. You will save time compared to traditional installation methods and unlike other anchors you do not need additional steps or tools. This helps reduce installation time and increases efficiency.
-
Flexible Installations: Due to the way the screw is threaded, once the concrete screw has been installed you are able to remove it. This is great when you are working on projects that are always changing or if a mistake is made. Because concrete screws do not apply expansion when installed they can be placed close to the edge or to each other.
-
Budget Reductions: You will save time on the easy installation, from the reduction in time it takes to complete a project, if a mistake is made it is quick and easy to remove the screw and refit. This simple installation also means you will not need additional equipment, further reducing costs.
-
Star T-30 Drive Head: This 6 pointed star shape helps to give more point of contact with the driving tool. This give a greater amount of torque which make the screwing in and out of the screw that much easier to do.
- Harden Steel: Concrete screws, due to their thread can be installed and removed using the same hole whitest still keeping the same grip when (re) fitted. However, as you may have experienced, a screw that has been fitted in can lose the grip of the drive head as it starts to shear. The CON-SERT™ concrete screw is made from hard steel, and along with the better grip of the Star T-30 drive, is less likely to suffer from this issue.
